Piney River Ranch in Vail, Colorado is a very special and beautiful location to host your celebration of love. Located up a remote road on a mountain in Vail and sits along a beautiful lake, Piney River Lake, wildlife sightings nearby are common, and can be a nice addition to your special day. Opened seasonally from June 21st through the last weekend in September, Piney River Ranch is known to be a prime wedding destination. Located within the Gore Range, its views are impressive and absolutely breathtaking.
During our events at this location, moose have been known to make a special appearance. There is a 100-person limit, and during the pandemic, a precautionary mask wearing during entering and exiting the indoor spaces. For added safety, the dance floor can be moved outside, still with a very romantic atmosphere, and fresh mountain air.
Amenities include four guest cabins, a yurt next to the lake, three glamping tents, nearby camping, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar. Wifi and cellular service is limited. If you would like to capture engagement photos at this pristine location, a photo contract is required with a fee by emailing and scheduling the venue directly.
With an in-house caterer, six menu packages are available with special dietary restriction options also available. A combined food and beverage minimum is required. Pets are allowed, as long as they are leashed with a small fee. Piney River Ranch seasonal opening is weather contingent, so it opens no earlier than June 21st and remains open until the end of the summer season the last weekend in September. Early and late snow can happen, which can force the Forest Service to close the ranch, so midsummer celebrations are best.
