While traditional weddings are beautiful and well, full of traditions, there is nothing like an energetic Indian wedding. Shirin and Mike enjoyed a night of laughter, love, and memories that will last a lifetime. The ceremony took place inside The Dove House followed by a lunch on the back lawn. As guest began to arrive they placed colorful scarfs around their heads and took off their shoes before entering the ceremony. Mini India provided the guest with delicious authentic Indian snacks as the bride and groom made final preparations. The ceremony began with baraat, where the groom arrived on a horse and guests danced around him. Garlands were then exchanged symbolizing the joining of the two families. The ceremony continued inside beneath the mandap, a canopy serving as an altar. Shirin wore a beaded red saree, bangles around her wrists, a red bindi on her forehead and henna on her hands. She was stunning as she ascended the aisle. The priest blessed the couple and the ceremony traditions continued. After about an hour and a half, the guest were eager to eat again and headed outside for an Indian style lunch. The sag, rice pudding, curry, and samosas satisfied all the guest’s cravings. The wedding soon moved to BMoCA where the real party began. BMoCA was the perfect place to keep the night lively in downtown Boulder. There were two bars and a buffet of delicious food. The centerpieces were beautiful and all hand-made by the bride herself. A slideshow of the happy couple played in the background while guests ate, danced and made use of the photo booth. The cakes were provided by Nothing Bundt Cake, the guest chose from four flavors, White Chocolate Raspberry, Red Velvet, Lemon, and Vanilla. The bride and groom ensured guest could enjoy the sweets and provided a Vegan Double Chocolate Cake from Whole Foods. The reception was decorated with aloe plants placed in gold pots and candles to light the food tables. The party never stopped, the drinking, dancing, smiling and socializing persisted through the last song. Shirin, Mike, the guest and the Ivory Events Team had an amazing night they will truly never forget.
