IVORY EVENTS JOURNAL

Danielle and Ben’s Wedding at Estes Park

If you are looking for a wedding with a ceremony back dropped by Colorado Peaks and laid back outdoor reception read on to find out more about Danielle and Ben’s big day. I am going to take you step by step through the decor, people, and places that made Danielle and Ben’s wedding so unique and beautiful.

The ceremony took place at the YMCA of the Rockies. Wildflowers surrounded the venue and made up the bridal party’s bouquets and boutonnieres. The beautiful arrangement was done by Lale Florals. As guests entered they stopped at the entrance to refresh with lemonade and water. Around the bottles of water were the programs for the ceremony. Ivory Events and designated ushers distributed packs of lavender to the guests that were to be thrown during the processional. After the tight-knit group of guest showed up we lined up the bridal party. The flower girl ascended the aisle and Danielle followed with her white beaded dress. The officiants were close family members who switched off blessing the couple and telling funny stories. After the vows were exchanged and the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife, the lavender was thrown and guests cheered. The bridal party then took advantage of the incredible Rocky Mountain Views and stayed to take pictures.

Soon after, the party headed to a rental house in Estes Park. A Spice of Life catered a variety of appetizers. My personal favorite was the cup of hot tomato soup and a delicious slice of grilled cheese to dip it in. After toasts from the Maid of Honor and Best Man, the chocolate cheesecake was cut. If cheesecake was not your preferred sweet, the bride and groom also provided a dessert plate with donuts, cookies, and brownies. The guest held lighters while the happy couple shared their first dance. Although the Ivory Events Team headed out after the decor was packed and guest were happy, the party continued. Due to the venue being at their rental house the flexibility allowed for guest to stay up all night enjoying each other’s company. While the   complicated decor and fancy venues are recommended for weddings, when it really comes down to it, it is all about the people and love that truly counts. Danielle and Ben’s wedding was proof that some of the most memorable weddings are those that are more about who and less about what.
